Terms of Service and Legal Guidelines for Audicle

By downloading, installing, or using the Audicle application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by this Usage Policy (the "Policy"). If you do not agree to any part of this Policy, you may not use the App. Your continued use of the App following the posting of changes to this Policy will constitute your acceptance of those changes.
Audicle is a news aggregation and text-to-speech application for iOS devices. The App allows users to:
Audicle is provided on an "as-is" basis. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of content retrieved from third-party sources.
You agree that you will not use Audicle for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to:
No Content Ownership: Audicle does not create, author, own, or claim any rights to news content or information. Audicle is a republisher that aggregates and displays articles and news from third-party sources, including RSS feeds and news websites. All content, including articles, headlines, images, and news information, is owned by and remains the exclusive property of the original publishers and authors.
RSS Feed Aggregation: Audicle functions as an RSS feed reader and news aggregator. We retrieve content directly from publishers' RSS feeds and publicly available sources and display them to you. We do not modify, claim ownership of, or assert any rights over this content beyond facilitating its display to our users.
When using Audicle, you must respect the intellectual property rights of original content creators and publishers. We recommend:
User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of article content complies with applicable copyright laws and the publishers' terms of service. Audicle merely provides a conduit for accessing publicly available RSS content.
The Audicle application, including its design, features, functionality, code, text-to-speech engine, and other original materials, are owned by or licensed to Audicle and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Audicle solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AUDICLE AND ITS DEVELOPERS, PUBLISHERS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
TOTAL LIABILITY: Our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to this Policy or your use of Audicle shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).
AS-IS BASIS: Audicle is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding:
NO WARRANTIES: We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
THIRD-PARTY CONTENT: Audicle aggregates content from third-party sources. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of such content. You access third-party content at your own risk.
No Data Collection: Audicle does not collect, track, store, or transmit any personal data, usage data, analytics, or information about you. The App operates locally on your device. We do not:
Privacy: Audicle respects your privacy completely. Your use of the App is entirely private. Any articles you read, keywords you filter, or content you access remain on your device and are not transmitted, logged, or stored anywhere.
Your Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any saved articles, bookmarks, or preferences within the App. If you sync data across devices via Apple's iCloud or other services, you are responsible for securing access to your Apple ID and managing those services' privacy settings.
Audicle reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any features at any time, with or without notice. We may also update this Policy at any time. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.
Your continued use of the App after changes to this Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to Audicle at any time, without cause or notice, if we believe you are in violation of this Policy or applicable laws. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
This Policy and your use of Audicle are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where you reside, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
